Katie, LVT

Katie attended Macomb Community College and received her Veterinary Technician license in 2020. Before she became an LVT, she worked at Gasow Veterinary Hospital as ward help; she took care of the animals that were being boarded here. Sometimes the technicians would need assistance holding animals for treatment and would ask her for help and that was her favorite part of coming to work each day. “From then on, I knew I wanted to be a licensed veterinary technician so I could be more involved with the cases and patients. Seeing cases from beginning to a happy ending it’s the best feeling!” Katie has a Pitbull named Bane, a domestic long hair cat named Fiona, and a domestic short hair cat named Bagheera.
