Oatmeal
Oatmeal passed away on July 11th 2023, after a long, brave fight with diabetes. She was 15 years old. Oatmeal came into our lives when we adopted her and her sister from a litter found on the Cranbrook Campus. Oatmeal fought her disease and never complained about her twice daily insulin injections. She begged every day to go for walks on her leash around our house and neighborhood. Her favorite thing to do was “checking on us” in bed in the middle of the night (every night!) by marching between us and demanding pets! Oatmeal was the last survivor of our 4 kitties. In her last 3 years as an “only child” through fighting diabetes, she was our obsession! She gave us a purpose through COVID and was our baby. We are heartbroken to say goodbye.
