Leia
Leia crossed the rainbow bridge on January 28th, 2023 at 7 years old, after a battle with cancer. Leia came into our family after we found a breeder in 2014, we waited for Leia to be born in 2015 and we drove to Muncie, Indiana to get her. Leia made everyone so happy, she loved every human she met. She had a big smile and the best personality. She loved to snuggle on our laps or between our legs when she slept. She was so easy going and care free. She just wanted to be held and loved. One of my favorite memories of Leia is taking her to the dog beach in Chicago. Instead of swimming or fetching like the other dogs, she went up to every single person on the beach to say hi and give kisses. Once we got to the end of the beach, she turned around and said hi to everyone one again. She just loved people. She loved to chew on her little pink kong and take naps in the sun. We miss you so much Leia. We know how long and hard you fought to stay with us, but we find comfort knowing you are no longer in pain. We will always love you with our whole hearts.
