Ginger

Ginger

Ginger crossed the rainbow bridge on March 27th, 2024 at 1:36pm due to complications from pancreatitis and an intestinal mass. He was 14 years old. Almost 15 year old, Ginger was a male cat from McConnell US Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas. He’s been around since 2013 and he was a fun boy that was taken in by me because no one wanted him. His first owner left the country and he couldn’t go with her. When she returned a few years later, he wanted to stay because he was so comfortable and he chose me. Ginger was around for 11 plus years and he had a good tiny little life. He loved to lay on the warm heated spot on the floor where he laid out in total unequivocal living bliss with a smile on his face bathed in total love. At times he was a funny little playful boy. When one was lying down and he wanted to play, he would run up and grab your arm with his 2 little paws, give it a shake and he’d turn around and run off. When one was sleeping on your back and you would open your eyes, occasionally he’d be on top, and his tiny little face and eyes would be staring into your eyes asking when are you getting up. He liked giving head butts and getting the back of his neck kneaded and massaged. When talking on the phone, Ginger would come sit on you because he wanted to know who you were talking to. When one got ready for work in the morning, he would get up to see you off because he knew you would be gone all day. He would be up early and his little head would be sagging and then bobbing up struggling to stay awake to see you on your way. When you would return home and open the door, he’d be standing there because somehow, he heard you coming. Ginger enjoyed the pleasure of life the best he could and he always seemed to have a little grin on his face. Sleep soft, dear friend and rest easy Ginger.
