About Us

The veterinarians and staff at Gasow Veterinary Hospital have been providing the best care for pets in the Birmingham area since 1933. Dr. Frederick H. Gasow founded the hospital in 1933 and Dr. Douglas Brooks purchased the hospital in 1993. During the last seven decades, the hospital has gone through numerous changes and grown from a one-veterinarian practice to a nine-vet hospital serving hundreds of clients. We provide state-of-the-art veterinary medicine and technology for your pet, but our focus is on old-fashioned, experienced veterinary care.

Our hospital welcomes patients during office hours. The office is open seven days a week and there is a staff member available to answer the phone 24 hours a day should you have an emergency. Gasow Veterinary Hospital offers a fully-stocked pharmacy and can provide most medications your pet requires. We also offer advanced diagnostic services such as digital radiology and other services. At Gasow Veterinary Hospital, we treat your pet as if he or she were our very own.
